I could not ask for a more attentive and caring staff than what my Mom has at Thornwald currently, they truly care about the residents, not just a job. I''ve seen them hug, and cry with them at difficult times. I feel so confident letting them in charge of her. Recommend them over all else. We are blessed that she is in Thornwald.
Read moreSo far, we have had no problems with the care, the attitudes, the food. Everyone clearly acts as though they love the residents and want the best for them. One person in charge went so far as to bring in a TV for a resident who was going to be without one for a week. That is going above and beyond.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The executive director harasses and is flat out rude to employees. Favoritism there is at an all time high. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The executive director harasses and is flat out rude to employees. Favoritism there is at an all time high. Do not work here if you want to be 1 of 2 or 1 of 3 aids taking care of 82 residents. Residents are not being cared for properly due to the lack of staffing. I have never in my entire life worked at a facility where the coworkers and management gossip and bully each other. Management does not help at all. The DON, ADON, and Director of the facility go home every night knowing the aids and nurses are struggling due to lack of staffing. Thornwald preaches to new hires that they are a church of Christ home but they’re more worried about the money. If you want to be worked to death, bullied, and harassed then this is the right place for you. I would not recommend this place to anyone wether it’s for a job or to live here.

Great experience thus far. Very attentive to all aspects of my mothers care. She has a new lease on life thanks to this home and the excellent care they provide. I am excited to see how much more she progresses and remains happy while living here.
