We went to Traditions of Beavercreek yesterday. It's an excellent facility. The facility itself was neat and clean. The staff were very cordial and kind to each other. I saw them helping several people. It seemed like there were a lot more people in the main building who were in more advanced stages than my husband and I. We are still independent. We looked at the independent homes and we're very impressed. It's a very good facility. They let us take home information about their activities and their menu. We saw their dining area. The lobby was very gorgeous. It was very impressive. It seemed like a really good facility.

I moved into my garden home 2 years ago, and I can honestly say I am extraordinarily happy, and contented, here. The staff I have met are warm and responsive to my concerns and requests. I am enjoying my neighbors, the quietness of the campus, and the feeling of safety when I walk about the grounds. I particularly like the lack of responsibility in making decisions about maintenance issues, knowing that if something needs attention in my home, there is someone here who will take care of it for me. My garden home is spacious enough to allow me to have overnight guests, the grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and spotting a deer or a duck family occasionally is a special treat.

Beautiful facility, however, there is never enough help there. Any resident that needs assistance in getting up or dressed or eating is always waiting, typically hours, to have someone come and help them. The weekends and holidays are the worse. Today, there is only one new, untrained aide, from an outside service there to take care of all residents. No nurse. The entire facility has been searched looking for someone to help this aide and there is only the one person there. My friends have lived there for over a year and because of the poor help, are now moving. Promise after promise has been made to correct these issues but nothing happens. I don''t know who management is talking to about the issues there, but it''s definitely not the residents that are affected. It seems to me that the turnover in staff over the last year would send a loud message that something is wrong!

Let’s start off with the good. Very beautiful property, buildings and amenities. The Director of nursing is great and does care about the residents and his staff. That’s about it! Don’t let the beauty blind you. Which that’s what they count on. First the Director of activities Terry is horrible. She bullies her employees and does the bare minimum. If anyone wants to add new or more things for the resident’s she throws a fit. Basically because she can’t sit in her office more. She makes promises to her employees and then never follows through. Residents tell her there likes and dislikes but are ignored. Terry is the worst activities director in the business. Second Jennifer Gibbs the executive Director of the building. Very warm and sweet when you meet her but her true colors come out. She tells her employees that she doesn’t have to respect them cause she is the director. She bullies them. If she finds out personnel things about her employees she will make rude comments to them or make fun of them to other management infront of that employee. Even other directors have stepped down or quit cause she is horrible. She truly doesn’t care about staff or residents. It’s a paycheck and a high profile title for her. Other reviews on here speak the same. Her boss above her is no better so no wonder she is way she is and gets away with how she is. Horrible person. Third Business office director. If you go to her with issues of being bullied she pretty much gets mad and tells you she isn’t doing anything about it. Your HR that’s your job is to help your employees regardless. Not ignore the issue. Like I said good thing they have a director of nursing that does his job correctly and cares about his staff and residents. If he wasn’t there this place would be completely horrible. There are great regular employees that work there thankfully. I just feel sorry they have work for people that don’t care and are only there for the status title and pay check. Just make sure you read the review and look very closely before moving your love one in. Jennifer, Thank you for your politically correct answer. Since I can’t respond to you comment I edited my review. There was absolutely nothing misleading in my post! It was 100% truth. Your a bully to your employees and many would say it’s true. Your regional is as bad as you are. You all don’t know your butt from a hole in the ground. You lol should be ashamed of yourselves and removed from your position so the residents have a wonderful life and get what they pay for. Again best of luck to you. People go elsewhere with your love ones so your not disappointed and feel taken advantage of. You know the saying karma will catch up with you one day. We that applies with this one for sure.
