Amending my initial five star review to reflect experience after mom has been here more than a few weeks. I''ve personally witnessed the weekend nursing staff refer to my mom as a whiny baby when she''s in pain and asks for a nurse. Speaking of nurses, they failed to order a test I requested and five days after requesting the test, no results because they never bothered. And no one knows what happened with the pain meds she was supposed to receive. My husband or myself has been present EVERY DAY since mom''s admission. I''m extremely disappointed with the lack of patient care and wondering what happens with the patients who don''t have a present family member to advocate for them. Seriously concerned about trusting these people with my mom.

Upon arrival at this facility once you go through the double doors the smell of urine hit you immediately,I don’t know what the problem is here but this facility needs to be sanitized from front to back and definitely is under staffed, whoever is in charge of this facility needs to spend a weekend here in one of the rooms and practice some empathy,I am sure they would make some major changes in the sanitation of this facility Today we came to visit my sister in law and she had waste coming out of the diaper and the smell was horrible, she deserves better than that

I was looking into different nursing homes, rehabilitation center in Slidell bc I’m trying to move my twin brother back home from Mississippi to be closer to family. Walked in, nice lady greeted me at the counter, informed me someone would be with me shortly. Judy, walked up, not inviting to begin with, not even sure if she even gave me her real name bc she was so rude. My brother is A quadriplegic and wanted to see if Trinity could accommodate his needs. She tells me she takes people from Mississippi on ventilators. I tell her he isn’t on a vent, he was in a motorcycle accident and he’s quad. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. All she kept saying was we take people from Mississippi on a vent. My brother had been here before and as it is suppose to be under new management things can always change. It was obvious she didn’t want my brother accepted there, I told “Judy” I’m done with this, you don’t have to show me, you have showed me enough of you. My aunt and I left as she just stared at me like, she got what she wanted. I understand quads require more care but this is dehumanizing. I would never want me loved one there, just by the way I was treated. Maybe if you were trying to say, we are only taking people on vents from Mississippi, I could comprehend that, that wasn’t the case. So glad I learned fast.
