We toured with Village Woods and we were not a fan of the layout. The facility used to be a Holiday Inn, so the rooms are hotel rooms. They are small and there is no living space or kitchen area. We wanted a 2 bedroom and it was just 2 conjoining hotel rooms. The residents also just eat on the floor...
We toured with Village Woods and we were not a fan of the layout. The facility used to be a Holiday Inn, so the rooms are hotel rooms. They are small and there is no living space or kitchen area. We wanted a 2 bedroom and it was just 2 conjoining hotel rooms. The residents also just eat on the floor that they live on, so they don't get to get around much. The property is absolutely beautiful and in a wooded area, but it was just not the right fit for us.

My Mom has lived at Village Woods for a going on 6 years. She loves it there. All the staff is so friendly and nice to her. She has been in Assisted Living for almost 4 years. She loves the activities, getting her hair done and manicures. The Nursing staff is just excellent and so attentive. The life enrichment staff come up with the most entertaining activities that include everyone. And as a bonus the food is excellent, if you are looking for a retirement facility you cannot go wrong with Village Woods.

Mom realized a change was necessary since she was having greater difficulty surviving on her own. She had previously lived at https://silvergaterr.com/locations-silvergate-retirement-residences/, but we were forced to move here to the Village Woods area when one of the residents—who just so happened to be our relative—recommended it. The entire team has been outstanding since then. They've been able to help Mom in ways that we weren't able to. Everyone deserves our appreciation. Mom is settling into her new home and getting to know her neighbors. Everyone has her gratitude. For our entire family, Village Woods has been a blessing. The gratitude we feel is beyond words.

I have had many opportunities to experience the Village Woods community which includes staff and residents. My husband, a retired pastor, led the Vesper service on a number of occasions. It was such a precious time of worship and sharing. I have also had friends who have become residents in the villas and assisted living. Their families are thrilled with the care they receive and how expanded their lives have become with all the new friends and activities they experience at Village Woods. In recent years, I am a part of a local art gallery who provides a monthly free art project for any residents that are interested in participating. The staff are so incredibly supportive! The residents become so engaged in their projects; and, best of all, we have made great friends! The building looks immaculate, the dining room feels like you're eating in a resort, the staff are warm and relational. What an opportunity for senior adults to experience life to the fullest! I highly recommend.
