My mom was at Walnut place for a few months on the 6th floor for assisted living. Carlos and the staff on the 6th floor were very caring. Svetlana was always available to help me with any questions about Walnut Place the whole time she was there. Carlos the director is very experienced in all aspects of senior care from assisted living care, to nursing and hospice. I would recommend Walnut Place for assisted living.

During my visit with a family member at this facility, I met 2 young ladies who told me that they have worked together for 20+ years. I believe their names were Mia and Latonya. They assured me that our loved one was in the best care and I believe them just because they were so warm and inviting. If everyone is as caring as these two, I know without a doubt that our loved one is at the best place.

We a have brought her to Walnut Place several times and she had thoroughly enjoyed being there. She said that the nurses and staff are so attentive and take good care of her.

Several years ago I became the care giver for a longtime friend (since 3rd grade). She no longer has any relatives left. She has been living alone and for the last 4-5 years I have helped her. Gradually she needed more and more help. But it became more than I was capable to provide. I looked into several places for her to live. But they were too expensive, too big, and just did not seem like a home where she would want to live the rest of her life. In November, she was in rehab at Walnut Place because of a fall. We both liked it there. So I took a tour. From the moment I started meeting staff members I knew this was the right home for her. Svetlana was the first person I met that day. Immediately I felt like we had a new friend. She gave me the tour and we visited a lot that day. From day one they made us feel like family. You walk through the front door and are always greeted with a kind hello and a smile. Each and every person working there treats you like you have been friends forever. The food is fantastic. The nursing and assistant staff are there all the time making sure people are treated like their family. There is an activity director every day that plays games, exercises, provides yummy treats. I have seen some people bringing their dogs in for the residents to enjoy. Some times musicians come and entertain. Recently my friend had to go to the hospital which is just across the street. I rushed over to check on her and there sat Carlos the director. He was making sure she was being taken care of. He is always checking on everyone. Making sure all is ok and all are happy. I am so thankful that my friend is living there, she is well taken care of and has new friends to be with. It warms my heart that everyone there is like her family.
