I worked in the dietary department for 2 years and it was a very enjoyable experience. The residents were incredible. I am now a PCA and I love my job equally as much. However I may add, the male cook in charge of supervising the dietary department located in the health center (not Vista Ridge) has shown frequent aggression to my coworkers and has even gone out of his way to harass them, which in turn, creates a very unsafe work environment made up of young people. I’ve had my fair share of issues with said cook, but nothing can compare to what he has done and said to my past co-workers. If you want to work in a non-toxic work environment and feel safe around your supervisor, that satisfaction will not be fulfilled unless said supervisor is held accountable in a proper manner. No one deserves to feel harassed or unsafe in their place of work.

My mom has fell three times in there. One night a nurse came in and put her on a bedpan and then spilled the bedpan in her bed taking it out and left her till the day shift came in and cleaned her up. 2 nights after that, she called at 2:45 in the morning and 5 o''clock in the morning, She''s still waiting for someone to take her to the bathroom. She peed herself 2x waiting for someone to take her to the bathroom. I was in nursing for 25 years and this is unacceptable of any staff taking are clients.

My mother was in the transitional care unit following a stroke. She received excellent care, the facility is clean, staff is kind and caring - and in her words "the food was delicious!" We are grateful for the care she received.
It''s for the rich all about the money
Recent staff changes have caused less personal interaction with residents resulting in negative feelings among residents.
