Sarah is great! She provided a tour last week. I really enjoyed meeting the team. The environment is very warm and inviting!

An added plus was the incredible kind and caring Social Worker who helped her greatly during her stay at Wesley Place and who made Linda’s transition to another facility a lot easier. Kudos to everyone!

My dad was initially placed here for Rehab. But he was very sick from cancer. Sarah was able to refer me to keep my dad at Wesley Place for hospice care as He needed 24/7 nursing care. I was able to have hospice come in to work with my dad to manage his pain while the Wesley nurses cared for my dad 24/7. My dad initially worried to go here due to reviews online which are entirely inaccurate. Once my dad arrived to Wesley Place he said he found it to be terrific. Great nurses who came to his aid around the clock It can be very hard work caring for the elderly but every nurse was truly caring and compassionate in their care. Making sure my dad was comfortable and Sarah communicates with me daily in California. And Once I arrived to Chicago to be by my dads side they were great with follow through on my requests in respects to caring for my dad. The Wesley House truly devoted to providing compassionate care for my dad and helped me through a very difficult time.

My grandfather has lived here for the past six months, and he has had a pleasant stay here. Everyone is welcoming. I appreciate everyone''s time and efforts to make sure my grandfather is cared for. It seems that the nurses are a little understaffed, so I can see that they can''t get to everyone right away. It would be great if residents didn''t have to wait such a long time. I know it''s not the staff''s fault, so we are understanding. I would appreciate it if the business would hire more staff. This is a common issue with most nursing homes, so I have come to realize Wesley Place doesn''t come close to the other staffing issues at other facilities. All the nurses we worked with were kind and loving, which is all you can ask for when caring for the elderly. They have activities throughout the day as well. Throughout the year they have volunteers come and visit the residents. On one occasion, two people were singing the most beautiful Christmas carols, and my grandfather enjoyed it so much. They have a church service every Sunday which we enjoyed together. Everyone here is very caring and understanding. I enjoyed working with the social workers and the Hospice Unit (3rd Party) when the time came. During the time that my grandfather passed away, everyone was so helpful and kind. Anything that I needed, they were there or would call me to let me know. I appreciated the Hospice Services so much during this difficult time. She was a therapist that would call to check in on me, send me info, and ask if she could be of service or listen. Everyone is kind. There are a lot of nursing homes out there that care about the money. I NEVER had that feeling here. No one is going to take care of your loved one as best as you can. And when you cant, you have to compromise. With them, I didn''t feel I compromised. I had to educate myself about the elderly and understand my grandfather wasn''t the only person who needed help. If anything, I needed to visit more, so I did, and I am glad I will forever have peace in my heart knowing that he was taken care of.

My mother recently stayed at this rehab facility for 6 days following a mild stroke. Her experience was a disaster, full of lacking communication, and unanswered questions. Cannot recommend this facility to anyone with an aging parent. They sold us on their skilled therapists AND policy to allow family regular visits once the patient tested negative for Covid. The reality, however, was that we never were able to see our mother in person despite her testing negative. Visit requests were difficult to arrange. The phones were constantly left unanswered. We never spoke to her therapists or were given any feedback on her therapy despite repeated pleas and even emails to the facility''s top management. She checked in on a Friday. On the following Wed, they told us they called 911 because she was found unresponsive and drooling. When she arrived at the emergency room, there was no paperwork confirming where the patient came from. The hospital nurses said this was the second time in two weeks that this facility sent over patients to their emergency room without documenting the facility''s name or address. The hospital''s physical therapy team tried contacting Wesley Place repeatedly to speak to mom''s therapists. That never happened. We still have no idea what happened to our mother in their care. Does this make any sense for your loved one? Be forewarned. Getting her out of there was the best thing we could do. Thankfully, she is doing so much better now.
