I love the atmosphere here. You can really feel at home here as soon as u walk in. Staff is very friendly and compassionate, management really cares, and the building is clean.

My sister was moved to the facility. She was cared for by the staff, she called the ambulance to come get her because she was not feeling well, the staff did not know what happened to her because the ambulance took her without saying a word. That worried me, I spoke with the ambulance med group to make sure that didn''t happen again, but I will say this when she had a fall the staff member stayed with her until she was taken to the hospital. It''s never going to be a perfect fit for our loved ones, anywhere, but I saw how much compassion the nurses had at West Lake. The food looks healthy, and the kitchen workers are amazing. The home is growing to become a great place, and that takes time to create a great setting. I would say give it a chance.

This nursing home moved my critical mother to another nursing home because of roof problems. I pleaded with them to not move her as it would be too stressful. I asked them what protocol they used to evaluate who should be moved. After her stumbling around to justify why she needed to move, the social worker did what was easiest for her and forced us to move. The business office is a mess and they over charged me. As I said, the move was too stressful and she died within a week of the move. Think the only reason they fixed the building is because the state made them. The management of this facility does not know what they are doing, and are arrogant, don''t follow procedures and super rude.
