Since the change in ownership and / or management this place should be your Last Resort of care for someone you love. My mom was there for 3 weeks and went home worse than when she arrived. Please choose another facility!

I would not send my worst enemy here…The facility has an overwhelming stench that is simply unbearable for residents and visitors alike. Unfortunately, that’s the least of the issues at hand. Patients are being neglected by the very staff that are supposed to be caring for them, leading to situations where necessary medication is not being administered when needed. Adding to this, the staff seem underqualified and indifferent to the suffering of their patients. This level of negligence is not only unethical but also a serious health risk for the vulnerable residents who are dependent on them. There is an urgent need for an intervention to protect the well-being and rights of the patients in this facility.

The Therapy Department is the best. It was my main reason for being there. The room was nice, attached bathroom with no hot water in the sink. Several aides and nurses emptied my urine bag into the sink. The toilet is right within reach. The food was horrible. If this is the way they feed everyone living at Riverview, I would have serious concerns. I had met with the Dietican, told here I needed more of a low carb diet, due to I have high oxalates, causing yearly kidney stones. She told me that they could not follow that, that by the reports of my trays, I had been eating what was served. I could get back on my special diet when I get home. I requested yogurt with all my trays. That was hit or miss. There was canned vegatables and fruit, lots of sandwiches with just a meat/cheese and nothing else, thrown on white bread. Meals served in take out boxes. The nurse and aide staff was good and bad. My worse aide very lazy and laughed in my face. The worst nurse was on the second shift. I called the nursing supervisor on him a few times. Just a hateful person. I had back to back yeast infections while I was there. Almost daily bouts of diarrhea. These are gone now that I am at home. Go figure. I would only go back there for the Therapy Department. MARCH 28 2024 i have returned for the third time . I gave my truth review, on my first visit. I had not had a chance to post a review, after my second admission. I broke my leg, came back to Riverside, because of therapy department. As before, they pushed me in a kind and strong way. Helping me gain confidence to know I COULD live on my own. I did for a minute. The dietary department still needs work, as well as a few aides, need to learn compassion. I have talked with the administrator, on down through the heads of departments yesterday. They were apprecriative. Understanding what I was saying. Listening to me, Showing me that I mattered. I will review again, after this current stay. I can only give you my truth, on my reviews.

The absolute worst facility ever, I''ll NEVER recommend to anybody and if you truly love or care about your loved one don''t you DARE leave them in their care!!! My father was in their care after his surgery and had a really bad fall while recovering under their care due to their negligence. He then had to be rushed back to the hospital due to the fall and NOBODY from their facility bothered to call us to see how he is doing or to render an apology. The aids are lazy and rude, they always claim that they are "short staffed", and nobody takes accountability when things happen or are reported. They barely change or give the residents a bath, they leave them unattended for long periods of time and the rooms are often left unkept (dirty). This place is trash!!! ZERO STAR‼️‼️‼️

Would recommend this place to friends.

If I could give this place -100 stars, I would. They do not give two craps about the residents here. They don''t bathe them, the ONLY thing they are good for is feeding time and handing out medicine. I called the health department on them and they were cited for a MULTITUDE of violations. 90% of the aids/nurses are just downright LAZY or RUDE. They ALWAYS have an excuse or point fingers saying things like " I just got here" or "so and so said they were going to do", the overall communication there is entirely lacking. It''s completely unacceptable and I feel absolutely terrible for the residents who don''t have any family members to advocate for them. I know it''s not an easy job, but when you sign up to work at a nursing home you should be giving it your ALL or go find a job ELSEWHERE!!!! My dad literally got an infection due to poor hygiene because they don''t shower him unless I call in and ask them to give him one, PATHETIC. They hardly ever change him and he constantly has accidents in his laundry so we started having them do his laundry for a bit until they started consistently losing all of his clothes, so now we are back to doing his laundry. I am completely exhausted from dealing with this home and its really just SAD. My dad deserves so much better than the neglect he has received from this nursing home. Luckily, he is on a waiting list to get into another home, but who knows how long that will take. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!!
