This facility and the staff there are one of a kind , from the higher ups to the cna and kitchen staff !!! They are amazing and the residents have so much love from every single one of them who walk through that door !!!
My mom is here. My mom has the best care available, I trust the staff here .they are the best. It takes a certain type of person to work in a nursing home. They are over worked and under paid. I thank God for them and there patience everyday.

My dad was a resident for four weeks during which I made six in person visits. Each visit I found the facility to be very clean, very well staffed and residences were happily engaged with each other as well as employees. For me the condition in which my dad entered White Oak Manor and the condition in which he left says everything. The care, nourishment, therapy, the assessment for the proper medications, the excellent communication from administration and nurses, as well as their exceptional kindness and professionalism allowed my dad to thrive. His words to me at the end of his stay were, “They are so good to me and feed me three delicious meals a day! I could live out the rest of my days here“ is the greatest testament to White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain. I appreciate White Oak Manor and highly recommend this rehabilitation center.

I enjoy working at White Oak Charlotte. I have always found the staff to be caring and motivated to put residents first. We dare to care!

I would not recommend this place at all! We placed my grandpa there after his diagnosis with Dementia and he needed more care than we could give. We had so many problems from the start with him being wet and sitting in it for hours. Someone in the family would visit for lunch and again for supper because we felt he wasn’t getting feed. Whoever in the family would come to feed him lunch would also change him and write the time on his brief. More days than not at supper time 5-6 hours later he would be in the same brief. We raised this concern to staff and nothing was done. They also had him on so many psych meds that he basically was in the fetal position for almost a week and they refused to send him to the hospital to get checked out. It wasn’t until I brought up possible serotonin syndrome that they decreased his meds and he started improving. Even with all of those concerns we still decided to keep him there as long as someone in our family could check on him a couple times a day. He would have family there daily until Covid happened and we were unable to visit. He tested positive in August and moved to the Covid unit where he was severely neglected. I understand that the building had Covid running through like wild fire and were short staffed but the amount of neglect my grandpa received is disgusting. He wasn''t fed properly and wasn''t hydrated properly. The beginning of September we decided to bring him home to care for him after seeing just how bad he was. We got the run around and excuse after excuse as to why that was a bad idea. For every excuse they had, we had a solution but then there would be another reason why we shouldn’t. After going around and around for over a week we got to bring him home and he has thrived ever since. When we brought him home he had pressure sores and bruises. He had a huge bruise which we knew nothing about and when questioned about it the nursing staff stated that they had no idea how it happened, maybe he bumped into something. This is a man that hasn''t walked in almost a year at that point so how did he bump into something and bruise himself? Once we got him home and to his primary doctor we discovered that he was severely malnourished and severely dehydrated. His primary stated that his bloodwork looked horrible that he was surprised he was still alive. His primary also recommended home health services to take care of the pressure sores. Since being home he has gained weight and has even stood and taken steps with assistance. Had we left him there he would''ve been dead within a week and the cause of death would''ve been listed as "Covid". It makes me wonder how many other residents were neglected and starved all while being labeled as a "Covid death”. This place needs to be shut down and investigated for abuse and neglect.
