Mom is at Willow Brooke Pointe Senior Living and it is fine. We didn't have all that many options. Most of the spots are filled up here, but they had an opening, so we took advantage of that. The place was put together nicely. It's new and comfortable. It is kept well. The staff is pretty good. We have not run into any problems with that, but I know everybody's struggling to find staff these days. They communicate if she runs into any problems and they seem to have a pretty good grip on exactly what they need to do to make sure she responds the way that we need her to. Her room is small. It can fit a bed and a couple of chairs in it. There's a kitchen and a bathroom in there that usually seems to be pretty clean. They do activities, and they have a courtyard.

I visited Willow Brooke Pointe Senior Living. It was like they had taken over an old hotel, but it was very clean. They had done a nice job of remodeling. We looked at a single versus a studio. We did get to go through a couple of the libraries, the TV rooms, the recreational room, and the nutrition or eating area, and it was very nice. One interesting thing there was, they have an ice cream shop which was very unusual because this is probably the fifth or sixth one in the area that we had toured. So, that was a fun difference between all of the facilities that I saw. They just opened in the afternoon, so we didn't get to try anything there. They offered transportation and a certain level of medical expertise for giving shots and that type of thing. They did indicate that they could help take my mother to doctor appointments, dental appointments, and that type of thing. So, that was a good plus.

The girl at Willow Brooke Pointe Senior Living was very pleasant and gave me quality time. She was in no hurry, and she followed up with phone calls. The facility was spacious with a lot of windows. The staff members are all very friendly. The upkeep was very good. One thing that I did not like was that they wanted proof 18 months in advance that I could pay. Everything else was very pleasant. The dining room was bright. They had a beauty salon.

I did a tour of Willow Brooke Point Senior Living. I like the layout of the place. I also like the fact that you can go outside from the dining room, and they have a place to sit there for five months of the year. The person we worked with was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are I would say, independent living. We have 6400 square feet now, so it would be a downsize for us. You have a living room and a kitchen connected. We looked at the one-bedroom for my wife and I because I don't think we can afford the two-bedroom; the cost is pretty steep. From what a few people have told me, if you get somebody to come into your home for assisted living, it would be a lot more expensive than going to assisted living. Because they have to stay 24 hours a day. I like the fact that, there you can still come and go as you like. Another big factor is you don't have to be vaccinated. The vaccination has been a waste of our money and time. In my opinion, I would never go to a place where you have to be vaccinated to get in. The dining area is very nice. I think they were doing mostly stretches, and a lot of residents were walking. Some were just sitting around. I don't think they have a recreational room, that would be the negative of it. There's no recreational room and no recreation. We loved the grounds. We loved the size of the windows because they go down low enough that you can sit there. They have a huge pond where you can have a view. You're not sitting someplace where you can't see out. I guess that's the big part that we like better with them. I just noticed that they were quite a bit lower. I did not set a chair down to see if I could still see out properly or not. They have a nice sitting area and a nice fireplace. They also had a place at the room we looked at. I don't know if it was next door, where it just had a smaller sitting room. You could get 10 people in there, but they'd be crowded. It's the place where you can go because sometimes if you go from a from a home to independent living, you may feel a little cramped. You can get out and go just next door. You can walk over and sit there. When you first come in, they have a place where residents sit, fellowship, and visit. They even have a place where you can watch the birds if you want to. As a whole, I think it would be it would be a good place. I think people would like it there. I would rate them a four because of some things that they do not have. One thing that another facility has that they did not have is a room where there was a spa. Their location is just on the edge of town, so it's more like you're in the country.
