Windhaven Senior Living: Resort-Style Amenities and Activities
Windhaven Senior Living focuses on serving individuals who need help with personal care tasks and those with Alzheimer’s and other types of memory loss. This luxurious, cozy community offers your loved one a warm, inviting environment, lots of familiar, comfortable spaces and activities designed to nourish the mind, body and spirit. Older adults here benefit from resort-style amenities like a fireside lounge, a media room for watching movies and TV shows, a full-service beauty salon/barber shop and a secure outdoor courtyard. All of these lovely spaces provide the backdrop for the award-winning SPARK program, a science-backed approach that fills each day with meaningful activities, easy social connections and chances to feel heard.
Every day is different with SPARK (and events are tailored to each person), but activities might include group games, Morning Chronicles & Conversation, painting classes and happy hour socials. In addition, Windhaven Senior Living boasts several clubs that residents can join, including Walking Club, Men’s Group and Cooking Committee.
Find Your Spark at Windhaven Senior Living
This fun, worry-free lifestyle at Windhaven Senior Living is possible because caregivers are here 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to emergencies, administer medication and lend a helping hand with activities of daily living (ADLs) like grooming, continence, bathing, dressing and mobility. There’s also a full-time support staff to make life chore-free — maintenance crews tackle tedious repair tasks, housekeepers clean and do laundry, and chefs prepare three gourmet meals a day.
This leaves more time for excursions to shop, dine and explore Frisco’s many attractions. Residents and visiting family members might enjoy Lewisville Lake at Hidden Cove Park and Marina, have a laugh at Barney Smith’s Toilet Seat Art Museum or hunt for deals at Parkway Towne Crossing.

Sending my wife's mom to Windhaven Senior Living was a tough decision a few months ago, but it has turned out to be a truly positive and wonderful experience for her. I think to highlight here: Windhaven's unique Spark program has made all the difference for her. Windhaven Senior Living is considered a premier Assisted Living and Memory Care property, and is relatively new, having been recently constructed. We've been pleasantly surprised that, after over four months, they have succeeded in creating a warm and family-like environment that met our expectations. One remarkable aspect that my mother-in-law particularly appreciates is the Spark program. This program is all about providing seniors with real-life experiences. She absolutely loves the cooking classes, and they have been fantastic in keeping her engaged, both mentally and physically. Witnessing her happiness and her positive sense of community here warms our hearts. The staff here is exceptionally caring and deeply involved. Overall, the staff's dedication to creating a welcoming environment for both the residents and their families is very present to us. We are very pleased with our choice so far, and Windhaven Senior Living appears to be the perfect fit for my mother-in-law. We would recommend this place.

We were told by two employees from their corporate office that our care expectations for our mother were too high. We visit our mother daily, staying with her 6 plus hours a day and we also have hospice care. We witnessed poor care often and reported to the Director, and spoke our concerns with other family members, Aides that would roll their eyes or go on break when we requested assistance - dirty gloves left on tables - oxygen nose tube dropped to the floor - much much more. Yes - we wanted consistent good care - that is not what Windhaven provided.

First off no one will have the empathy, respect, or be as dedicated to taking care of a loved one who is at the back end of life as a family member, however I will say that everyone I encounter at Windhaven had NONE of these qualities. When my loved one was involved in an accident at their facility, there were minimal calls to our family to check in on the status. We received lackluster communication from management or anyone at the facility. While at the facility my loved one was under hospice care. Instead of working with the hospice care provider on solutions for proper treatment of my loved one, there was minimal communication from Windhaven to the hospice provider with just finger pointing leading to no clear solutions. Another example on Windhaven's part is a lack of empathy. In conclusion, no senior living community is perfect, and we were not seeking perfection. I would not recommend Windhaven to anyone ever! Zero stars, thumbs down, whatever the rating system is, my experience was horrendous. They were horrible and showed zero competence, zero compassion, and zero respect.

Windhaven Senior Living is a new facility and they have lots of space. We'll be moving my dad here because it's in a nice neighborhood. They have 10 individual buildings with 16 people in each building, so it's a smaller environment for him. It's brand-new, really pretty, clean, and the people are very friendly. I've seen their menu, they have a salon, and a podiatrist comes in.

This Building and the workers here are AMAZING!! I have never been to a facility where I walked in and saw the care takers right there with the residents treating them as if they were their own family! Everyone always has a smile on their face, residents and staff!! The ED Suzanne is always going above and beyond for her residents and their families. Jennifer the DON is just as amazing as well and truly listens to the needs of the residents and the families. Would highly reccomend anyone that is looking for a place that will treat their loved one just as if they are their own!
