Windsor Gardens Assisted Living: Premier Senior Living in Knoxville
Windsor Gardens’ approach to senior living is to make every day as bright and fun as possible. That means sun-filled common areas, great food, smiling staff and a lively events calendar. Residents here take baking classes, play Bocce, discuss literature in the book club and gather for live entertainment from visiting musicians. For relaxation, there’s a walking path, an outdoor patio and a beautiful sunroom.
With complimentary transportation, seniors get the chance to experience everything the Knoxville area offers, including Sharp’s Ridge Veterans Memorial Park, Ijams Nature Center, the Blount Mansion and the McClung Museum of Natural History & Culture. External medical care is conveniently close, too, with North Knoxville Medical Center, University of Tennessee Medical Center and Parkwest Medical Center within 15 minutes of the community.
Windsor Gardens Assisted Living Offers a Personal Touch
Windsor Gardens Assisted Living is locally owned and operated, meaning residents benefit from a personal touch and long-tenured care staff. Licensed nurses are on hand 24 hours a day, seniors receive regular wellness checkups and visiting professionals (like dentists, podiatrists and physical therapists) handle specialty care.
Each resident works with family and staff to create an individualized care plan that meets physical, emotional and social needs. There are three base levels of care — Level 1 is for mostly independent seniors who just want housekeeping, maintenance, laundry and gourmet meals, while Level 2 offers assistance with bathing and grooming, and nightly wellbeing checks and medication management. Level 3 is the most comprehensive: seniors receive all of the services of the other tiers, plus continence care, extra linen service and escorts to and from meals.
There are three spacious, open floor plans to choose from, and each one features individual climate controls, emergency pull cords in the bathroom and bedroom, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms and a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave.

The staff was always available to answer my questions and concerns. My uncle lived at Windsor Ridge a little over 3 years until he passed. I would highly recommend Windsor Ridge to anyone for their loved one!

We toured Windsor Ridge, and we think we're choosing this place. We spoke with Bridgette, who was very knowledgeable, very caring, very friendly, and very nice. She said hello and even hugged a number of the residents that were out and about. She introduced us to some of the nursing staff and to the dietitian who had been there for a really long time. We looked at a studio. It had a small kitchenette and a bathroom. It was a nicely-sized room with a nice view. They had a backyard area with grass and a walking path. They had an area where residents could gather outside. They had a common dining area that was very beautiful, and it had a mural on the wall. There were individual tables, some were two-seater tables, four-seater tables, and eight-seater tables. It was nice that they had some variety. The grounds were beautiful and very well-manicured. They had sufficient parking for the residents and for visitors. They also had transportation for the residents. When I got there they were playing cornhole. They had a community piano that the residents are allowed to play, which is nice. They had different pastors who come in from different denominations that do church services. They had devotionals. They had an actual activity director. They do bingo. They had a salon onsite.

We have not had a meal their ourselves but our loved one seems to be really happy with the meals and dining experience. The activities were limited there for awhile but they seem to be increasing them more and more each day. It is a lot of money, it is expensive but it is worth it to give us that peace of mind. Based on our experience so far with Windsor Gardens we would definitely recommend this community to other families.

My aunt is here. I was really pleased with it. My aunt seems to be doing fine over there. The people there were all friendly. It seems like they have little groups where they have friends and they do things. They take the residents on little trips and things like that. They have people come in and sing. They have preaching come in on Sundays. During the holidays, they have little parties. My aunt has a studio apartment. She has no living room, but she has a little area with a couple of chairs and a bed. Somebody comes in and cleans if they need to, and they'll make her bed. They take care of my aunt and give her medicine.
