In FebruaryI placed my mom here in the dementia unit. At first I was very hesitant. This particular location has recently been taken over by the Magnolia group. After reading their website, I was sold. My every interaction with any staff member at this location has been more than helpful and pleasant. My mom adapted surprisingly fast. She''s always clean, her clothes are clean and her shared room. My mom is upbeat and enjoys the staff and other residents. Any time I have questions or concerns, they are addressed quickly. This is never an easy decision to make, but this facility put me at ease and handled all the paperwork for me. Most importantly, my mom is being well cared for and she is happy.

I have worked in Long-term care since 2017. Magnolia Manor of Midway has come a long way since they bought out Woodlands Healthcare in September of 2019. The Administrator and DON are actively involved with their staff and there is a synergy amongst the employees that you cannot find easily in other LTC facilities. The pay and benefits are excellent compared to past-employment places I have worked and I would recommend this facility for anyone that is looking to become a member of a fast paced, well invested, and cared for facility. Family and loved ones express their gratitude for the improvements done to the building and staff. If you think you know Magnolia Manor of Midway from when it started out in 2019 at the beginning of a world-wide pandemic, then you do not know them. Go meet them again and you will not regret it.

Management is disorganized which trickles down causing poor staffing. They have a CNA working as HR who is not qualified and if he feels slighted by you, will fail to input your hours worked, vacation or fail to submit paperwork to corporate… all due to his pettiness. And this company has allowed thus behavior for years. The floor staff were great to work with. DON was hardly in building and did not talk/ communicate or SUPPORT her nurses or CNAs, which was a first for me. I think if corporate came in and actually spent a week with each management person these people wouldn’t have their jobs. The pay and benefits were Ok … but you will here from many of the staff that Direct deposit takes forever…. and it most certainly did . Apply for a job wisely here and do your research before putting loved ones here . They run short stafff all the time so they can save money.

Very unorganized and unprofessional folks work here. There’s no orientation or training provided. I was working here for two months and still didn’t have the necessary information I needed to complete charting, view my paystubs etc etc. Turnover rate is high and from the first day, I understood why.. My co workers were very helpful but them ones in the office sitting behind the computer? The DON wants to hear what she wants to hear and not listen to fact about the CNA concerns or issues …Excuse me, I meant the CNA’s that work on the floor not the 2 they have In positions they don’t qualify for. I had time adjustment forms submitted without my acknowledge for days I didn’t work but the unqualified folks covered that up because they made YET ANOTHER mistake… The DON only talked to me when the two unqualified folks were around so I was getting cut off every time I spoke. If you want to work for this place…..God bless you.
