After enduring a challenging two-week hospital stay due to pulmonary edema and coronary heart failure, he spent over 4+ weeks at Wynscape for rehabilitation. From the outset, it was clear that we were in capable hands. The team at Wynscape deserves all the accolades for the wonderful quality of care they provided my father. Throughout his stay, we witnessed firsthand the dedication and professionalism of the entire staff. They were not only proficient but also incredibly responsive to our inquiries and needs, always ready to assist at a moment''s notice. What struck us the most was the genuine kindness and friendliness exhibited by every member of the Wynscape team. From the moment any of my family members stepped through the doors until the time we left, we were met with warmth and compassion. Even with my father, who admittedly isn''t the easiest patient to handle, the care team navigated his needs with remarkable skill and grace. I want to extend my deepest appreciation to all the nurses, CNAs, PTs, therapists, office staff and every individual at Wynscape. Each day, they treated my father with unwavering kindness, patience and respect, going above and beyond to ensure his comfort and well-being. In every aspect, Wynscape surpassed my expectations. I see first hand the “top-notch”care she receives from the entire staff: office, nursing, CNAs, kitchen, laundry maintenance, activities, therapists. For ten years my aunt lived in a senior living community in Oak Park in one of their independent living apartments. Her rapid decline in health all began back in the spring when she fell and broke her hip. Since that time it has been a real struggle to say the least. A couple of surgeries, in and out of the hospital, contracting COVID are just some of the challenges she faced during these past several months. We searched for a rehabilitation center in hopes that we would find a caring place with a compassionate staff that would nurse her back to better health. We found Wynscape and admitted my aunt this past May. It has been a long road and my aunt hasn’t always been an easy patient over the last several months. But I want to commend all the nurses, CNA’s, therapists and all the staff at Wynscape. The were faced with a challenging and very ill patient but never gave up on her. Each day they treated my aunt with kindness, patience and respect. In regards to the facility it is an older building but the interior has all been recently renovated. The common areas are very well organized and welcoming. The resident’s rooms are well maintained and very clean as well. I want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone at Wynscape for taking such great care of my aunt. My family and I are so grateful to all of you. It is such a challenging time to work in healthcare but we want you to know that we so appreciate all of your efforts. I’m happy to report that my aunt has improved so much and will continue to get healthier and stronger because of our experience at Wynscape.

This is a small facility with a huge heart. The staff truly cares about the residents. The state has consistently given them high ratings and this is due to all the hard work they put into caring for their patients, as well as the cleanliness of the facility. They did an excellent job of containing the level of infection during the Covid crisis, not to mention the care and compassion they showed the residents/family members during such a difficult time. We have had several friends who have had their friends/family their for convalescence and they totally agree with us. They have many long term employees who are still with them and when asked why, will tell you it is because they love what they do. What they do is by no means an easy job and I respect and admire them for their level of care and concern. Placing someone in long term care is not an easy decision. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone who asked my opinion.

Grandma with COPD and getting worse by the year. We''ve been to several facilities in the area including this one and I would like to speak from both sides (Grandmas care and staff). I''m asking for a transfer back to this facility as I write this. Grandmas care was as it should be. - She was given her lung treatments within in hour of when it was needed even though grandma was upset. - They did move her around the facility in a wheelchair especially for PT which was great. - Food choices were limited and even more so for Grandmas diet but the staff was so great for that aspect. Grandma''s overall experience was on the better side of most facilities Ive been to but you have to take it with a grain of salt which leads me to the next points. The Staffing was as good as it could have been. - In this field there is a shortage of staffing even after the pandemic so they are doing the best they can with what they have. That means grandma might not get her meds right away which is understandable. - The staff are trained to be everywhere at once and if grandma is upset that a staff member wouldnt talk to her... well... they do have an entire floor with 30 other rooms to attend to and cant spend an hour with one particular family member. - The staffing here shines where they can. G-ma made more friends with the staff here than any other facility shes been to and yes they will call and say "I''m having a terrible time here" but the staff is doing the best they can. Im sorry if it doesn''t sound the greatest but G-ma is usually here for short term Rehab so I cannot speak for the Long Term aspect. If you want round the clock, every second they need something, someone to talk to, etc..... than you might as well hire an "in home" nurse because NO facility will give that kind of care. They try really really hard but its difficult with everything thats happened. All the directors I have spoken to I would choose this place over most in the Wheaton/West chicago/Carol Stream area.
