Kind clean professional

This is a storage facility for humans, worse than prison. The nurses are sometimes mean and always have 20 patients at a time. The system makes it this way, they are severely understaffed and nurses are encouraged to work overtime, 12 hour days, for mediocre ‘bonuses’. The building itself is old and the approximate wait time after hitting the call bell is 17 minutes. Most of the nurses crowd around the nursing station on each floor, talking and even doing their hair. My grandfather is here and the nurses don’t know what he can and cannot do, there is no care plan and no discharge date; after being there for two weeks. He is so depressed he is wishing for death and says he would rather be in a mental hospital or jail. This place needs to be reported. WellSpan hospitals get kickback for sending people to this place, at the expense of the families and patients lives.

Don''t do it. My parent was sent here for short term rehab with dietary restrictions and throughout their stay was referred to as a long term patient and given wrong snacks that were a danger to their diet. Although nurses were kind, no information was provided to us, a care plan was never developed or presented although Admin says there was one (we don''t have a copy of anything from here), we had to persist for days to have a doctor come in to check my parent for an infection while it worsened and the doctor was dismissive, and until antibiotics were given, the infection got so bad my parent was taken to the hospital. To this day we haven''t received discharge papers either and they want to charge us for these things we should have been provided. they also were unable to provide PT and OT updates or reports on what was done. They lied in reports when I called to get info on progress as they referred to me in the files and meetings I had with them. They will cover their tracks at the expense of the patient.
