It is specially bad since my husband passed away on June 20th and we already have so much heartbreak, stress, expenses and other things to deal with. Shame on you!

Do not you any smell the stench!! The smell is so bad I felt like throwing up when I left my visit!! I understand this is a hard job caring for patient’s. It is human kindness to use a nice smell for mental health reasons!! You can not tell me the staff is use to that smell, all the staff should have a chance to spend two days and one night there to appreciate what the parent’s deal with living there!!!! Please for the love of GOD use a nice disinfectant!!! It’s cruel!!!

IT’S “THE GOOD PLACE” My 100 year old mom who has dementia and had pneumonia was in YNC recovering. I visited with her often and for hours at a time. I was extremely impressed with the care she was given and the competency of all staff members. I had no doubt my mom was in a safe place. It became clear as time went on that the physical therapy she was receiving and the special diet to help with her swallowing issues were successful. She is now home and doing well thanks to the folk at YNC. The facility is older and has a worn look, but spotlessly clean and always smelled fresh. Again it was and is the competency and caring of the nursing staff, the CNA’s, the therapists, the food service staff and the housekeeping staff all working together that makes YNC the good place it is.
