At Brookdale Meadowmont, we’re here to help your golden years be the life you’ve always dreamed of. As an assisted living and memory care community in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, we’ll take some of the chores off your plate so you can take a day trip to the North Carolina Botanical Garden, try a cooking class or unwind at yoga. And our industry-leading Clare Bridge memory care program helps seniors living with Alzheimer’s or dementia lead a meaningful life.
With assisted living, our attentive caregivers will help with medication management, daily living activities and coordinate with outside healthcare providers. We’ll arrange transportation for off-site visits, and our restaurant-style dining room will serve you daily multiple course meals. This gives you more time to partake in one of our many daily activities, whether that’s happy hour, a movie matinee or a bingo tournament. And while you’re off enjoying yourself, you can feel good knowing that our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
Our memory care program provides a daily path of engagement that meets our resident's level of skills and allows them to flourish in our care, even with advanced expressions of the disease. This includes research-backed activities like brain-boosting games, gentle fitness classes and arts and entertainment events. We take a person-centered approach to care and are also here to help with things like bathing, dressing, dining and mobility.
As a resident, you’ll choose your apartment from a variety of floor plans, each with large sunny windows, a spacious living area and a private bathroom. And you’ll have fun filling your home with your furniture, photos and special mementos that express your unique style. Everyone I met was friendly, and there is longevity in staff here that you don’t normally see. Also, they have 4 stars with DHHS, which means they are consistently good over time. We ended up putting my mom in Independent Living, but this was my top choice for AL.

I transferred a parent to Brookdale Meadowmont from a local rehab facility in early 2022. The rehab had been a nightmare of neglect and abusive staff. By contrast, Brookdale Meadowmont was run by attentive individuals who welcomed my parent and attended to their needs, despite the fact that they were only going to be a temporary resident. After the rehab nightmare, I knew the danger signs to look for and I saw none of them at Brookdale Meadowmont. Staff were responsive, attentive and pleasant, the facility was well maintained and there was a strong sense of community among the residents. My impression based upon a limited stay was extremely positive.

My mom experienced health issues unexpectedly early and was unable to live on her own any longer. We looked at just about every option in the Chapel Hill area and fell in love with Brookdale Meadowmont. Now that she has moved in, we have not been disappointed! The staff is just fantastic! They actively reach out to my mom to make sure that she is aware of any activities that are happening, and they couldn't be more friendly and helpful! The residents get to go to lunch bunch each Tuesday, and there are other activities and outings as well. The staff worked really hard recently and held an on-site carnival for residents and families complete with snow cones, popcorn, and a dunk tank! The rooms are clean and spacious, and the kitchenette has been really wonderful since my mom loves having her cup of coffee in the morning. I couldn't more highly recommend Brookdale Meadowmont. The highest praise that I can give is that my mom says that it feels like home.
