If I could give 0 stars without hesitation---I would. This place is a mockery of healthcare and common decency. I was greeted by rude staff, excuses, and poor policy procedures. My experience specifically with the "administrator", Harry Slater, was truly unpleasant. He was rude, impatient, dismissive and arrogant. Several characteristics one working in health care should not posses. They did not have a higher up that I can speak with about my concerns. Instead, Slater told me to simply "leave my number" and someone would get back with me when all I was attempting to do was check on my loved one who is a patient here that did not sound very well over the phone. People have their loved ones here. People they truly care about. It''s disheartening to know that they are in the hands and care of individuals like Harry. If you are thinking about placing your loved ones here I beg you-- choose somewhere else. This place needs to get shut down and Harry Slater needs to be fired immediately. If anyone knows of anyway I can speak to someone higher up about my concerns/horrible experience today with Riverview Jefferson Health please feel free to contact me.

This place needs to be shut down. My sister was transferred there Friday evening, March 12, 2021 from Select Specialty Hospital Wyandotte because it was the only place they said that could care for her being having a trachea, feeding tube and restraints. March 17, 2021 she had died! 5 evenings there! She had survived almost 5 months being in two different hospitals, but she goes there and can''t even make 5 full days! How can the state of Michigan let this place stay in operation and how can they be considered a "skilled" nursing facility? I need some answers on how this could happen. Totally ridiculous! The only reason I gave them one star is so I could tell this story!
