In 2009 my friend James Jordan had a fall, possibly a small stroke. Jim had previously operated a machine shop in the shadow of Sox Park. In the mid1960s he had heart attack and lost his business. He focused his energies on stress reduction, improved diet, and general healthy living. Jim lived an austere life, & devoted his energies to the study of History and Political Science. He was indigent when he arrived at St. Francis Hospital just as the 2009 Summer Olympics were kicking off. He previously had a distain for TV., but ending up in a hospital with a front row seat to The Summer Games must felt like he died and went heaven. He was later transferred to Aperion Care Evanston, where he has enjoyed 12 yrs of excellent care.Jim is now 94 yrs old. He now has a new family. We who have known him for 50 plus yrs are pleased with the team at Aperion, who keep us in the loop at care meetings with the friendly staff. Kristine the receptionist, Michelle the Social Service Director, Fritzie the Care Plan Coordinator, Joe the Nursing Director & Meir the Administrator. James is secure with the comfort & care he''s come to know today for the rest his tomorrows,

The staff at Aperion went above board, and above and beyond the call of duty. From administration, to the support staff, to nursing staff, to the CNAs, to dietary, and even the redmsidents themselves, everyone was pleasant, welcoming, patient, understanding, helpful, available to help problem solve, and in general wishing to assist in any way necessary. The residents are well attended to, receiving excellent care and comminication. A very special shout out goes to Mr Meir Katsenstein and the DON Joe for their exemplary care and concern shown on behalf of our family member, thank you both so much for all of your help. Wishing all of you the very best continued success in all of your endeavors. With great and deep admiration and appreciation, CB Brownstein
Read moreThis place has bedbugs & Roaches... I DO NOT RECOMMEND! The pictures DOES NOT LOOK THE SAME. & They gave one resident molded bread to eat. This is not a safe place for a family member. This building should be shut down, the residence ARE NOT living in a safe environment. This is so disappointing!
