Always a good experience!!!
Was there applying for part time activities position. Love the staff and residents. Used to volunteer for music therapy.

Summit epitomizes what nursing care should be. I placed my friend in their care three months ago after stays in other nursing facilities in the East Texas area. Let me assure you this place is the best. He is clean (they cut his hair, dress him, and keep him shaved). He loves the home-cooked meals they serve three times daily, and he raves about the home-made ice cream, along with the many social activities. His medications are given on time, and they even provide transportation to dialysis which is local. Because of their care, he is in better health than he has been in almost two years. Carrie, Director, and Sandy, Business Manager, are always pleasant and take time to visit with you, updating you on the patient''s status. Sending him here has been God''s blessing. I am so happy with this placement where patients are treated with dignity and truly loved. Thank you for taking care of my friend.

Update: They sent me to collections. I explained to the collector what had happened and they are now being investigated. By them selling a bill to them, that I never agreed to, telling the company that I did..is fraud. Have fun with that. Edited to have 1 star since they are still harassing me** the only reason they get 2 stars is because at least the nurses were kind. The billing department is a whole nother story though. My "mom" passed away from several infections she aquired while at this facility. I called to let them know of her passing. A few days later, I got a letter which I thought was a sympathy card. It wasn''t. It was a bill for the charges she incurred while in ICU. When she was admitted to summit, Sandy sent me a package to accept financial responsibility, that I Did not sign. I explained that I had grown up in foster care and was adopted, so I had no legal connection to my biological mom. She said it was fine, they were charging her insurance and I wouldn''t be held responsible. Again, I did not sign, or even send back the packet since they wanted me to sign with every other space blank. Today I got another letter, from their in house attorney, threatening me this time, that if I don''t pay her fees, that should be covered by her insurance and veteran''s benefits, they will take me to court and I will accrue more debt. Maybe I should find my own lawyer and see what they think of my mom dying from MRSA from their facility. Very poor experience
