I have been a nurse for a little over 2 years. I recently moved to Torrington and I wanted to find a job closer to home. I applied at Wolcott Hall and a day later received a call to come in for an interview. When I arrived to my interview, nervous yet excited to weigh my options, I was immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist Liz. During my interview, where I sat before Patti (DNS) and Melissa (Admin.) I felt comfortable and was welcomed in. They assured me I would learn and grow here as a nurse as well as enjoy working here. They explained to me how they would be flexible with me as I am currently in school for my RN. When I officially hit the floor for training I was provided with a strong orientation for 3 weeks. What makes Wolcott Hall so unique is it is a quaint facility that feels like home. Residents are provided with the utmost competent care which they deserve. It is not uncommon to see the director of nurses working side by side with her nursing staff to accomplish one goal, to provide excellent care to our residents. Wolcott Hall encompasses core values such as teamwork, positivity, competent care and overall caring environment. The food is excellent and housekeeping keeps the inside clean and welcoming.
